President Duterte addresses his fellow ASEAN leaders in Indonesia

BALI, Indonesia - President Rodrigo Roa Duterte addresses his fellow Heads of State/Government in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders' Gathering at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Bali, Indonesia on Thursday, October 11, 2018.


The High-Level occasion is a side event of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) - World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Meetings that are simultaneously holding conferences in Bali this October.  It seeks to accomplish ASEAN's ambition in achieving its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).


The President is convening with the Leaders of the ten ASEAN Member Countries to boost the solid partnership within the community and to manage the region's economic growth that aims to foster development and equality.

With the participation and support of the IMF, World Bank Group (WBG), and the United Nations (UN), the ASEAN also seeks to explore on potential collaborative actions in addressing global development challenges.
