The 45-year-old police officer died in a buy-bust operation on March 11 in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
During his visit, the Chief Executive posthumously awarded Legaspi the Order of Lapulapu Rank of Kalasag.
The award is conferred upon individuals who lost their lives as a direct result of their participation in an activity pursuant to a campaign or advocacy of the President.
President Duterte extended financial assistance to the family, including a scholarship to the children. He also gave a mobile phone.
Legaspi is survived by his parents, wife, and three children.
