ILIGAN CITY - Bus terminals here have tightened its security starting Wednesday, 3 January 2019, as commuters arrive or exit after the long vacation during the holiday season.
According to a security guard of a bus company, they are conducting thorough check-ups of baggages and passengers, cautious of any eventuality following the bombing incident in Cotabato City during the yearend.
Passengers squeeze in and hustle for seats on buses and jeepneys to get home for the first day of work or school after the new year.
Police say, they will be enforcing plans on Thursday to contain the rush of vehicles, and people on the streets, schools and workplaces.
